Dr. Graves

Dr. Graves graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1981. His graduate training included service at the Albina Action Center for the Underprivileged, the Seattle Indian Health Board, the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation Clinic and the Alaska Native Medical Center. He has been an Associate Director for the Eye Bank-Division 49, a past Chairman for the Sight and Hearing Saving Committee with the Lions Club, past Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee with the Alaska Optometric Association and has lectured for the President’s Counsel on Physical Fitness. Since becoming an Optometric Physician in Alaska he has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alaska Optometric Association. He has served for eight years on the Alaska Board of Examiners in Optometry, with three of those years as Chairman. Dr. Graves has been serving the interior of Alaska since 1982 and is licensed to treat and manage eye disease and injury with full scope primary care. Dr. Graves was the first doctor in Alaska to be certified by the FDA to provide Corneal Refractive Therapy. Also, he has been voted “The Best Optometrist in Fairbanks” by the readers of the Fairbanks News-MinerĀ  in 2012 and 2014. He also enjoys his family, music and outdoor sports, such as hunting, fishing and skiing.
